The German Green Party calls for common good accounting at federal level

The MPs call on the federal government to draw up Common Good Balance Sheets for at least two companies with federal participation in a  pilot project, in order to pass on the resulting experience to private companies.

In their motion (19/11148), the MPs explain that the common good accounting is based on a continuous, comparable evaluation scheme that makes the socio-ecological effects of business practices visible and improves them. Their motion further refers to the recommendation of the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC), which has recommended the ECG model at European level.
