The protection of your personal data is of particular concern to us. We therefore process your data exclusively on the basis of the statutory provisions (European basic data protection regulation (DSGVO) and the respective national data protection laws). In this data protection notice we inform you about the most important aspects of data processing in connection with our website.

Which data we process about you

In the course of your visit to this website we automatically collect some information, which is described in detail in the following sections. In addition, we also process the information that you provide yourself by filling out forms, such as to contact us or to register as a member.

Purposes of data processing

We process your data on the basis of our overriding legitimate interest (Art 6 para. 1 lit f DSGVO),

  • to provide you with this website including our services
  • to be able to create usage statistics

  • to be able to recognize, prevent and investigate attacks on our website
  • in order to answer your questions

If you register as a prospective customer/supporter, member or donor, we process your data

  • in order to be able to satisfy your interest in further information and, for example, to be able to fulfil a request to receive a newsletter.
  • in order to be able to admit and administer you as a member of an association for the common good.
  • to be able to administer your donation (bank transfer, possible donation receipt).

You will find detailed information on the data processed in this case in the data protection notice.

Transmission of your personal data

For the above-mentioned purposes, we will transfer your personal data to the following recipients who process their data exclusively in the EU:

  • IT service providers used by us
  • to the respective GWÖ partner association, whose member you would like to become or for which you would like to make a donation

  • Processed data in detail
  • Server logs and access data

We may process the IP address of the requesting computer, together with the date, time and information on which file is requested (name and URL) and the amount of data transferred to you, a message stating whether the request was successful, identification data of the browser and operating system used, and the website from which the access was made (if access was made via a link). The server logs are stored in order to be able to check the system security as well as to be able to recognize, prevent and investigate attacks and to be able to administrate the websites technically and optimize the offer. This data can (e.g. in the case of a hacker attack) be passed on to the law enforcement authorities. A further passing on to third parties does not take place.

You have the possibility to subscribe to newsletters of ECG associations and regional groups via our website. For this we need your e-mail address and your declaration that you agree to receive the newsletter. Further details (title and name) are optional.

Once you have subscribed to a newsletter, we will send you a confirmation e-mail with a link to confirm your subscription.

You can cancel your subscription to a newsletter at any time. You will find a corresponding link in every newsletter. We will then immediately delete your data in connection with the respective newsletter dispatch.
