The Economy for the Common Good (ECG) was founded in Austria 12 years ago, and it has grown steadily ever since. Year after year, companies, individuals, organisations and policymakers turn to alternative models and tools that take into account the impact that human economic activity has on society and the Earth. ECG develops and provides ethical and practical solutions that help reframe the role of money from the end-goal to the means: not against profit, but for the people and the environment.

The DACH region, comprised of German-speaking countries in Europe, primarily Austria, Germany and Switzerland, has been one of the areas in the world to more readily embrace and implement the common good principles. In order to keep up with these developments, both the Austrian and German Associations of the Economy for the Common Good have launched their own independent websites in 2022.

Through these new web portals, Austrian and German ECG members are able to best present accurate, up-to-date and detailed news and information on their respective Associations, Local Chapters, Hubs and activity calendars, as well as fully customised features to tend to their specific needs. Such is the case of the innovative Austrian ECG companies network.

Visit the Austrian website or visit the German website. You can also find a full list of the official ECG national Associations websites in our menu.
