The ECG movement is looking for people to join the International Coordination Team and members for the Governance Board. Job descriptions please see below.

Member of the ICT of the ECG Movement

The International Coordination Team (ICT) is a hub which is responsible for the international coordination of the ECG movement. It acts with the Federation Management Team (FMT) as the ECG management team (EMT).
Current members of the ICT are Christian Felber, Gus Hagelberg and Manfred Kofranek. As Manfred Kofranek intends to leave the ICT, his position will be vacant after the Delegates Assembly in May 2019.

This is a paid position (€ 750,- per month incl. taxes). He/she is a contractor of the International Federation. This job takes 8-10 hours per week, meetings of the EMT take place generally on week-ends (approx. 5 meetings per year). This position reports to the Delegates Assembly.

Role description (as of Manfred Kofranek)

  • Bridging the ECG movement with business related activities of ECG sub-units or members of the movement
  • International coordination of activities regarding core elements (ECG matrix, consultancy, audit, etc.)
  • Meta-coordination of the hubs which are involved in development activities regarding those elements (consultants, auditors, matrix development team, companies hub), close interworking with the coordinators of those hubs
  • building cooperation with ECG companies
  • controlling of business related programs and projects

The tasks of the management team members may be redefined by the team according to individual competences. The candidate should be flexible and open to new challenges.

Person Specification

  • At least 3 years experience as an active member in the ECG movement
  • Experience of working in an international context within the ECG movement
  • Ability to work in an international team in a complex and rapidly changing     environment
  • Excellent inter-personal and communication skills
  • Self-organisation and flexibility
  • Good standard of written and spoken English
  • Other languages desirable

Members of the Governance Board of the ECG International Federation

How does the ECG movement stay true to its values? Answer: through the ECG Governance Board which is looking for experienced and committed active members.

The ECG Governance Board is one of the new bodies of the ECG International Federation. Its role is to ensure that the Federation adheres to the principles of the Economy for the Common Good. The Governance Board will supervise, support and monitor the ECG Management Team (EMT). The EMT consists of the ICT and the Federation Management Team.

The Governance Board will be made up of at least three members who are appointed for a term of two years. Members may not act as a representative of an association in the General Assembly or as a member of the ECG Management Team (EMT) during this time. The members of the Governance Board work on a voluntary basis. Travel expenses will be reimbursed.

The Governance Board will meet at least once a year. Meetings via Skype (or similar) will take place at a minimum of once every two months. The Governance Board members will be supported by the Organisational Development Team which continuously monitors the development of the movement as a whole.

Role description

  • Create and communicate the process for dealing with matters which are not aligned     with ECG core values
  • Monitor the work of the ECG Management Team
  • Question any decisions or actions which seem not to align with ECG core values
