The Association's purpose

The Association is a not-for profit organisation and aims to develop and promote initiatives for the implementation, distribution and development of the Economy for the Common Good, based on the book of the same name (Deuticke 2010, ISBN 978-3-552-06137-8).

Data protection

Explanation of the principles of Decree 196 of the Austrian "Data protection code", 30 June 2003

In accordance with article 13 of the Law Decree number 196 of 30 June 2003, we advise that our Association for the Promotion of the Common Good Economy processes the personal data of members, as well as individuals who willingly share their details with our administration office or management (by phone or by registration by fax or email).

Our Association guarantees, within the framework of the statutory provisions, that the processing of personal data is carried out with regard to the basic rights and freedoms and dignity of the persons concerned, with particular regard to confidentiality, personal identity and the right to protection of personal data.

  • Aims and purposes of data processing:

  • For institutional purposes, compliance with current statutory duties, regulatory orders, community standards as well as civil and fiscal laws

  • Compliance with other contractual obligations to the members

  • Activities in connection with the business activities of our Association, such as compiling internal statistics for accounting and for bookkeeping of membership dues

  • Business objectives such as the sending of newsletters and other information (by post, fax and email), that relate to the Association's activities

Claims protection and administration of liabilities

Further to the above-listed objectives, your personal data will be shared, as required, with:

  • Public administrations and authorities, where legally required

  • Natural and/or legal persons entrusted with the collection of outstanding dues from members

  • All natural and/or legal, public and/or private bodies (legal, administrative and tax offices, courts, chambers of commerce, etc.), where such sharing is necessary or appropriate to the practice of our Association's activities, as well the relevant institutional purposes mentioned above.

Members' data collected by staff/members will be forwarded to the Association's Central Office.
Personal data processed by our Association will not be shared.

Data processing may be carried out, with or without help of electronic or automatic means, and includes all processes provided in section 4, paragraph 1, letter a of the Law Decree No. 196 of 30 June, 2003 and required for data processing. In any event, the data processing will be carried out in compliance with all security measures which ensure its security and confidentiality.

The Data Protection Act gives interested parties the opportunity to exercise certain rights in accordance with article 7. In particular, the data subject has the right to know what personal details are held about him/her, seek information as to whether data on him/her exist, even if not yet recorded, and to ask for detailed and intelligible information about these data, their origin and the reason and purpose for their processing, as well as information about the data controller, data processors and persons and categories of persons to whom these data may be transmitted. The data subject has the right to confirm the data, to check, correct and add to them, and to request that the data be deleted, blocked and converted into anonymous data if the processing does not meet the statutory provisions. They have the right to object, in whole or in part, on legitimate grounds, to the processing of their data, and to request their deletion, blocking and conversion into anonymous data, if such data are used for commercial purposes, the sending of advertising materials, direct selling, or for market and opinion research.
