BKK ProVita is a cooperation partner of In safe hands e. V. at Bunter Ball. The association was awarded the UEFA Foundation for Children Award 2020 for the health promotion project Bunter Ball. Andreas Schöfbeck, CEO of BKK ProVita, proudly explains: “Our joint project Bunter Ball promotes emotional, social and intercultural learning through sport. During practice lessons, we can teach primary school children to behave in a self-responsible, health-promoting manner and thus strengthen the children’s physical and mental health”.

The Bunter Ball project promotes the social, emotional and intercultural skills of primary school children during weekly practice lessons. Currently 210 children in elementary schools in Bochum and Cologne participate in the project, which extends over the entire primary school period. Starting with the new school year, the project will reach five schools and 13 classes per week.

In 2018 BKK ProVita received the UN Climate Action Award together with ProVeg Deutschland e.V. for their joined project “Aktion Pflanzen-Power” at the World Climate Conference in Katowitce. This was the first time that the esteemed prize had gone to Germany and the first time that it was awarded to an ECG company.
