The Economy for the Common Good (ECG) Founder Christian Felber will be one of the Keynote speakers at the 2nd Society 5.0 conference «Creating the future together». The conference will be hybrid: online and physical in the FHNW University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland, June 20 to 22, 2022. This event is jointly organized by universities from Colombia, South Africa, Italy, China, Malaysia and Switzerland.

“The era of a creative society is dawning with the global obligation to organise our economic activities in a new and sustainable way and to define our coexistence as a society differently, namely as Society 5.0 – a human-centered society that balances economic advancement with the resolution of social problems by integrating digital space and physical space.” (Society 5.0, 2022)

The opportunities identified in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), as well as the challenges of the 21st century, are meant to be solved by communal and intentional efforts. Technological developments play a big role in addressing these global issues.

Society 5.0 is a space for learning and debate. Academics, industry practitioners and the public can engage in conversation and exchange ideas. Researchers, practitioners, and thought leaders present and discuss results, innovations, experiences, concerns and challenges. There will be presentations and satellite events on all three days. On the third day there is the Digital Future Day, which can be attended separately.
