Castellón is a Spanish province in the northern part of the Valencian Community and a popular tourist destination. It is also a region, where the Economy for the Common Good (ECG) is spreading and reaching ever more people and businesses. The Valencian ECG Association is advising small and large companies on how to reorient their business to support the common good and how to become certified. Amongst the most recent companies are a popular hostel and cultural center (La Surera de Almedíjar), a spa (Balneario de la Vilavella) and a Mediterranean restaurant (l’Horta cuina), which uses local raw materials and 100% renewable energy.

In Castellón, there are already many companies that have passed the audits and have obtained the 3 seeds indicating that a company is complying with the model. For instance, Cartonajes La Plana, a giant cardboard packaging producer with more than 100 million turnover and with facilities in Onda and Betxí, has been committed to the common good since its inception. Likewise, in 2015 the caterer Cuinatur exceeded its balance and is dedicated to promoting a healthier and more ecological diet in a large part of Valencian schools.
